The Wedding
We did it!! Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kubik from here on out!! There is so much to say and want to say it all. So here is the first installment.
The Bridal Party rocked. For a group of people whose only connection is Thomas and I, we really felt that we had all been friends forever. Maggie and Sabrina worked so hard to keep me calm and happy and laughing from 6:30am Friday, well into the next day. Scott, Austin, and Mike were always so helpful and made Thomas keep his sanity. Maggie and Mike were a match made in witty-sarcastic-hilarious heaven. The two of them kept us laughing all day long! Scott and Mags gave the most amazing toasts ever. So genuine and funny… I never knew you guys felt that way about us!!! Austin hung throughout the entire 4 days. He became like another brother. My, sister, Sabrina was so much fun and was the only one who would sing Hannah Montana songs with me. We love all you guys sooooo much. We felt like our relationship grew and bonded stronger. I hope that in the years to come that these bonds remain as we add more weddings, vacations, outings, and children (yes, I did go there) to our lives.
Now on to our little people. I was a little nervous about what kind of condition the children would be in. Would they be happy or nervous or upset or confused!?!?!? Well, they exceeded my expectations.
Darian was amazing. His heart was in his job of carrying the pillow. Then he continued to shine as he mingled with guests and had a great time. We heard from so many people that he is so smart and funny (not that Thomas and I didn’t already know this).
Kylie and Jenna were adorable. I gave them the option of staying on stage or going to sit with their parents. They chose to stand and they were such troupers to stay through the whole thing. We also heard from so many people that they were so much fun. Sabrina is going to try to take my job. She says they are her new best friends. I also don’t think that they left the dance floor once all night. Party animals!!!
And I cannot end without talking about the man who made all this possible. My husband is the most wonderful person I have ever met. He not only worked 70-80 hour weeks to give me the wedding of a lifetime, he put up with my emotional ups and downs and has been there for me when I felt the world was against me. He has never let me down and I pray that as his wife I can make all of his dreams come true as he has made all of mine become reality.
